Pewley Down is a protected area and local nature reserve managed by Guildford Borough's Countryside Team and a group of conservation volunteers. It is much used by Guildford Residents as a place to walk and admire the countryside.
Green space, previously farmed adjacent to Pewley Down, is now on the market.
A local group has now been successful in its efforts to raise funds to secure the land for the public. The group is now converting pledges to actual money to finalise the purchase.
