Variations proposed on proposed extended boundaries

Surrey Hills National Landscape was previously known as the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB).

Surrey Hills National Landscape have completed consultation on the proposals to extend the National Landscape Boundaries.  They have now issued the results of the consultation including maps of amended boundaries.

Guildford is potentially affected by extensions to:

  1. The National Landscape on the Hogs Back.  This extension covers the proposed Solar Farm proposed by the University (See Link Below).
  2. The National Landscape near Hatchlands to the east of the town,
  3. The National Landscape on the Wey as it abuts Guildford Borough to the south.

The maps are attached below

Full details of the consultation and all the changes are at this link.
